Are you a recent Art Graduate? Are you a creative and organised individual with a passion for the arts? Do you enjoy supporting students and teachers in bringing creative ideas to life? We're looking for a dedicated Art Technician to join a thriving secondary school in the Wirral, with an immediate start available.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Art Technician to support the smooth running of the Art and Design department. You'll assist teachers in preparing materials and resources, maintain equipment, and help create a safe, inspiring, and well‑organised studio environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for art lessons
  • Maintain and organise art supplies, tools, and classroom resources
  • Support teachers in delivering practical lessons and demonstrations
  • Ensure the art rooms are safe, clean, and compliant with health and safety standards
  • Assist with displays of student artwork and school exhibitions
  • Provide technical support for a range of art media, including painting, ceramics, printmaking, and digital work
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in an art, design, or technical support role (school or studio setting desirable)
  • Practical knowledge of a range of art materials and techniques
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, flexible approach with good attention to detail
  • A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Relevant qualification in Art, Design, or a related subject
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety in art studios (including COSHH awareness)
