Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is recruiting an enthusiastic Art Teacher for a thriving secondary school in Doncaster to commence in September 2026. This full‑time supply role runs until December 2026, with a strong probability of a permanent position thereafter.

You will plan, deliver and assess Art and Photography across KS3/KS4, maintaining high standards of behaviour and delivering engaging lessons. A QTS or equivalent is required, along with UK secondary teaching experience and two references.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Art and/or Photography in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art & Design at KS3 and KS4, including GCSE requirements.
• Two recent education or school-based references.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Photography lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop artistic and technical skills across media and digital platforms.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Maintain an organised, stimulating classroom and studio environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the creative arts department to share best practice.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

• Experience with digital photography and image editing software (e.g. Photoshop) desirable.
