In a town known for its bright lights and bold energy, you will play a key role in helping students from diverse backgrounds express themselves through various media, ensuring that Art remains a cornerstone of their educational experience.
Ignite Imagination: Plan and deliver high-impact Art & Design lessons for KS3 and KS4, covering everything from foundational drawing to advanced mixed media.
GCSE Success: Support Year 11 students in the high-pressure run-up to their final practical exams, providing the technical guidance needed for top-tier portfolios.
Cultivate a Studio Culture: Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment with new techniques and materials.
Showcase Talent: Encourage students to curate their work, fostering a sense of pride in their artistic progress and final outcomes.
Seamless Integration: Quickly adapt to the school's unique ethos and collaborate effectively with the wider creative faculty.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory, alongside a relevant degree in Fine Art, Illustration, or a related field.
Secondary Experience: Proven success teaching the Art & Design curriculum at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Technical Versatility: Strong skills in a variety of disciplines, such as painting, printmaking, textiles, or 3D design.
Resilience & Energy: The ability to engage students with a "can-do" attitude and a genuine passion for the subject.
Compliance: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one).
Competitive Pay: Daily rates from £150 - £220, paid weekly to reflect your specialist expertise.
