Art Teacher - Southwark - UK QTS - ASAP start

Are you an inspiring art educator who ignites curiosity and creativity in young minds?

We’re seeking a dynamic Art Teacher to join our team and lead vibrant, engaging visual arts programs for our students. This role is to start as soon as possible, working on a full time basis.

What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified and experienced art teacher with a true passion for visual arts
  • The ability to deliver compelling lessons across a range of media (drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, digital art, etc.)
  • Strong classroom management skills and a student-centered approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build rapport with pupils, colleagues, and parents
  • A willingness to push artistic boundaries and encourage innovation
  • Flexibility, energy, and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
What You’ll Do
  • Plan, teach, and assess art lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire
  • Help students build technical skills, visual literacy, and self-expression
  • Organize exhibitions, displays, or shows of student artwork
  • Collaborate with staff across subjects (e.g. design, technology, photography)
  • Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular art clubs or workshops
  • Support the school’s vision, safeguarding, and pastoral care responsibilities
