The Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT) islooking for experienced Clinical Research Practitioner (CRP) to join adynamic mobile team, with a number of posts available in all of the 3subregions of Yorkshire and Humber. This advert is for the posts available inthe Humber and North Yorkshire region.
TheARDT works across Secondary Care, Primary Care and Wider Care settings,delivering a variety of Commercial and Non-Commercial research studies andtrials. The Senior Clinical Research Practitioner post would ideally suitsomeone who has experience of delivering research in a dynamic environmentand/or experience of community based practice
Theseposts will be employed through Leeds Teaching Hospitals with the operationalbase being Humber Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for the Humber and NorthYorkshire region.
TheARDT Senior CRP will be required to travel throughout the Humber and NorthYorkshire region delivering all aspects of clinical and non-clinicalresearch.
Thefollowing areas of expertise are advantageous however not essential,Commercial Research Delivery, Mental Health, Community or District Nursing,Supporting those living with Dementia and Prisons

Therole will mainly be responsible for
Managingmultiple concurrent projects and research sites, requiring flexibility andadjustment according to demand.
Managesall aspects of study delivery including; screening, recruitment (includingobtaining informed consent), delivering interventions, follow ups, datamanagement, sample collection and processing as required, across allspecialties and settings.
Actin accordance with current legislation, including Good Clinical Practice,research governance legislation, and the Data Protection Act.
Contributeto the leadership and management of a dedicated research delivery and supportteam, with adherence to Host policies and procedures. This may include
undertakingsupervision, mentorship and staff reviews to identify training anddevelopment needs, and establishing how those needs will be met, and managingperformance against agreed objectives.
Whenrequired, participate in the selection and interviewing of staff for theAgile Research Delivery Team.
Participatein the induction of new staff joining the Agile Research Delivery Team.
Managesown workload seeking guidance from peers when necessary.
Maysupervise the work of others as directed by the Team Manager.
Actsas a role model for others.
Awarenessof professional codes of conduct/standards, and co-ordinate professionalupdating and continuous development of staff within the Agile ResearchDelivery Team.

FromOctober 2024, the NIHR Clinical Research Network became the NIHR ResearchDelivery Network (RDN). The RDN continues to support the effective andefficient initiation and delivery of funded research across the health andcare system in England for the benefit of patients, the health and caresystem and the economy, with a name that better reflects the scope andpurpose of the network to support:
Clinical trials and other well-designed health and social care researchstudies (including
studiesthat are delivered outside of an NHS setting);
Public health studies that require the recruitment of individuals within anNHS setting
(thatis, acute, ambulance, mental health, community or primary care) or an episodeof
carewhich involves contact with the NHS.

MAINDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STRATEGICLEADERSHIP
To maintain links with otherresearch staff and specialists across the research teams to share knowledgeand to provide mutual support.
Attend national meetings in relationto research as appropriate.
Awareness of professional codes ofconduct/standards, and co-ordinate professional updating and continuousdevelopment of staff within the Agile Research Delivery Team.
BUSINESSPLANNING
Supporting the coordination of theAgile Research Delivery Team to ensure the day to day management of theworkforce to ensure that appropriate staffing and skill mix is maintained atall times across all stages of all the work the Agile Research Delivery Teamsupports.
INFORMATION& ADMINISTRATION
FORRESEARCH DELIVERY:
Accurately perform and record arange of participant assessments and physiological measurements required,according to personal competencies and the study protocol. This may include, but not be limited to;venepuncture, blood pressure, urinalysis, weight and height.
Appropriately document and reportany serious adverse events and incidents according to regulatoryrequirements.
Review research study protocols andscientific literature to identify safety aspects of research administration,and associated workload involved in running a clinical trial.
Ensure that relevant approvals arein place prior to commencing a study.
Analyse, interpret, compare andpresent a range of complex data (including research outcomes) to patientsupport groups and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Using appropriate manual andcomputerised systems, ensure accurate collection and maintenance of allresearch records and results, ensuring that all data can be verified.
Provide timely information andreports to reflect recruitment of patients including timely entry to LocalProject Management Systems (LPMS).
Work directly with local ITdepartments and/or software providers to address problems which may occure.g. resolving problems with on-line data submission forms.
OPERATIONALMANAGEMENT
FORRESEARCH DELIVERY
Manage multiple concurrent projectsand research sites, requiring flexibility and adjustment according to demand.
A managed practitioner roleinvolving all aspects of study delivery including; screening. recruitment(including taking informed consent), delivering interventions, follow ups,data management, sample collection and processing as required, across all specialtiesand settings.
Contribute to the leadership andmanagement of a dedicated research delivery and support team, with adherenceto Host policies and procedures. Thismay include undertaking supervision, mentorship and staff reviews to identifytraining and development needs, and establishing how those needs will be met,and managing performance against agreed objectives.
When required, participate in theselection and interviewing of staff for the Agile Research Delivery Team.
Participate in the induction of newstaff joining the Agile Research Delivery Team.
Manages own workload seekingguidance from peers when necessary.
May supervise the work of others asdirected by the Team Manager.
Assist with research relatedmonitoring visits and inspections.
LIFESCIENCES INDUSTRY
Champion RDN Life Sciences Industryresearch and the importance and contribution of industry to health and care.
Champion the RDNs capacity andcapability to support Life Sciences Industry research and the contribution ofthe Life Sciences Industry to the NHS and wider care settings.
Provide the Agile Research DeliveryTeam Services consistently, within the required time frames and to standardRDN requirements.
Support business developmentactivities, including: sourcing / signposting to relevant regional clinicalresearch expertise and knowledge to support optimal research delivery.
COMMUNICATION& STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT (NHS AND NON-NHS)
Engage with, recruit and supportparticipants from a broad spectrum of diverse communities, facilitatingequity of access to research, including through the use of Be Part ofResearch and Join Dementia Research.
Build relationships with researchsites and settings, including those which may be research naive, enablingreach and facilitating equity of access to research.
Facilitate effective communicationof complex research study information with all relevant research personneland research participants.
Communicates in a way whichrecognises difference and ensures that research participants/people feelincluded and their individual communication needs are met.
Maintains confidentiality ofinformation at all times.
Attends, participates andcontributes to Agile Research Delivery Team meetings.
Liaises with others to discuss andnegotiate issues relating to the delivery of research studies.
Undertake presentations to staff andstakeholder groups.
