A contemporary art gallery in London is seeking an experienced Art Sales Consultant to drive strategic growth. The role involves developing new business opportunities and managing high-level relationships with collectors and corporate clients. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 3 years' experience in business development within the contemporary art world, excellent communication skills, and a strong network of art professionals. This position offers a competitive salary with commission, among other benefits.

We pride ourselves on curating compelling exhibitions, participating in international art fairs, and fostering dynamic relationships with collectors, institutions, and corporate partners.
Reporting directly to the Gallery Director, the Art Sales Consultant will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and cultivating high-level relationships across the art, luxury, and corporate sectors.
Please note this role is mainly phone based.
Strategic Growth & Revenue Generation
Develop and implement innovative strategies to expand the gallery's client base, including HNWIs, corporate collections, and international art buyers.
Lead sales initiatives across exhibitions, art fairs, and digital platforms.
Client Relationship Management
Oversee the cultivation and retention of high-value collectors and clients.
Host and represent the gallery at openings, art fairs, and private viewings.
Market Research & Analysis
Track market trends and identify emerging opportunities within the contemporary art space.
Analyse sales data and generate reports to inform strategy and forecasting.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the curatorial and marketing teams to align business goals with exhibition programming and gallery branding.
Mentor junior sales or business development staff as needed.
