A local educational institution in Corsham is seeking an enthusiastic Art, DT & Food Technician to support teaching staff. The role involves preparing materials, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with practical tasks in the Art, Design Technology, and Food departments. 307 hours per week 8.30am to 3.00pm Mon to Thurs and 8.00am to 3.30pm on a Fri - Term‑time only plus TD Days - Required as soon as possible after closing date The Role We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Art, DT & Food Technician to assist within our Design, Technology, Food and Art departments. Responsible to the Curriculum Team Leader, the purpose of the role is to provide support to all teaching staff in the Art, DT and Food departments. The post holder will prepare and provide all materials for lessons, ensure stock levels are maintained, ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to undertake administration tasks, cleaning of equipment and facilities, conduct regular checks of all Art, DT and Food equipment and support students and teachers on the practical elements of the curriculum. The post holder is required to liaise with other Technician team members to ensure consistency of work tasks across the department. The successful applicant must be willing to be trained in the operation and maintenance of DT equipment and machinery and must also have an understanding of food and food preparation. The DT tasks include the requirement for occasional heavy lifting of materials/resources.
