Leigh Stationers' Academy is looking for an Art and Photography Technician to join the academy to support the teaching and learning of students within this department, and to provide support and services to the staff and students in line with the academy policies and procedures. Our successful candidate will be creative and enthusiastic, and it’s an ideal role for current Post 16 students or recent school leavers who would like first‑hand experience in a paid position within the Art remit.

Our successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining and monitoring consumables and equipment in Art and Photography and ensuring all pupils are able to access a wide range of materials and processes as part of their Art provision. Our newly appointed technician will also provide technical support to staff during lesson time as required.

Ideally, our appointed candidate will hold an A Level or equivalent qualification in one or more Art related subjects. You'll be an effective communicator and be able to use your initiative. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude is also essential, as is the ability to provide the very best levels of service to all employees and stakeholders in the faculty.
