Job summary

Cantilupe Surgery in Hereford city centre invites applications for an ARRS GP to join our busy, supportive team on 4 sessions per week from 1 October 2026. We serve a large list with a mix of 15-minute appointments, on-the-day and pre-booked slots, plus one home visit per day.

We value training and regular team meetings and work alongside GP partners, salaried GPs, registrars, ANPs, nurses, and admin staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register.
• Fully qualified GP with UK practice eligibility.
• Excellent communication and patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical care during face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
• Manage acute, chronic, and complex conditions; perform examinations and treatment planning.
• Accurate patient records using EMIS; contribute to governance, audits, and quality initiatives.
• Participate in the duty doctor rota and on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and support patient education.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well established , supportive team, located in the city centre of Hereford. We have a patient list size of 12640 and CQC rating good.

We are looking for a ARRS GP for 4 sessions per week to join our busy and very motivated and supportive team from 1.10.26.

Main duties of the job

The Practice follows BMA and model contract. 4 session surgeries, 15 minute phone and face to face appointments, a mix of on the day booked and pre booked patients plus one home visits (am session only) .

Accurately complete patient records using the practices clinical system (EMIS)

Support health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education activities.

Engage in regular clinical meetings, CPD, and annual appraisals.

Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (including nurses, pharmacists, ANPs, and social prescribers).

Support GP colleagues by having a flexible work approach to provide that support within work plan.t
