A UK healthcare provider is seeking an Arrhythmia and Cardiac Device Specialist Nurse to provide expert care for patients with arrhythmias and complex devices. The successful candidate will assess and implement nursing care, run outpatient clinics, and support patients through specialized services such as the Cardioversion Service. Applicants must be registered nurses with a teaching qualification and postgraduate training in arrhythmia care. This role offers competitive salary from £38,682 to £46,580 per annum, pro rata.

The post holder will work within a multi-professional team and assist in the development of services, including the Rapid Access Arrhythmia clinic, arrhythmia clinics, complex device pre-assessment clinics, telephone clinics and will provide expert nursing support for patients requiring electrophysiology procedures. You will work closely with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, cardiac physiologists, nurses, and a team of multi-disciplinary staff within the cardiology/medical directorate to provide clinical support, education and clinical leadership to the development of existing and new patient pathways. You will provide highly specialist care for patients with arrhythmias and complex devices. The post holder will assess, plan and implement care, provide specialist advice and education to support patients, carers and colleagues.
An exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a special interest in Cardiac Arrhythmia and complex cardiac devices to join our award winning service. The successful applicant will have experience of working with patients with cardiac arrhythmia and have a good understanding of their needs, they must also be able to interpret ECG’s competently. They will be expected to provide outpatient clinics for Arrhythmia patients. Pre assessment and on going support for patients with complex cardiac devices as both inpatient and outpatient. The post holder will be a specialist for patients with arrhythmias within the CHFT trust, liaising with specialists in tertiary centres.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
