A governmental department in the UK is seeking professionals for commercial contract management roles within the Army. These positions focus on supplier performance, contractual obligations, and stakeholder relationships. We are recruiting for up to two positions, which will be responsible for the commercial aspects of contract management for Army contracts. This involves monitoring supplier performance, implementing contractual changes, maintaining value for money, dealing with disputes, building and maintaining good working relationships with the customer team, the supplier, and other key stakeholders.
These are exciting and challenging roles in the Army Commercial Team, which consists of over 100 Commercial Officers and is responsible for hundreds of contracts, the combined value of which is over £5 Billion. The roles require leadership and initiative, as well as important skills such as customer and supplier relationship management. You will have plenty of prospects to develop these and other skills, both on the job and through managed learning opportunities.
You will build and maintain your effectiveness by ensuring that you keep up to date with contract management, procurement and HR policy developments. You will engage with other parts of the Army Commercial team to ensure that good practice is adopted across the portfolio.
