Job summary

ENVISAGE RECRUITMENT LIMITED seeks a Design Engineer to join the Coventry team, focusing on armoured vehicle protection and integration from concept to production. The role is hands-on with 3D CAD and complex materials in demanding environments, reporting to multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree and background in defence or related sectors; SolidWorks is essential, Creo is highly desirable. Onsite role with a discretionary bonus and robust pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Defence, aerospace or automotive engineering background preferred.
• Proficient in 3D CAD with SolidWorks; Creo experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical designs from concept to manufacture and produce 3D models and drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to balance weight, cost and durability.
• Support integration of equipment into armoured vehicles and manage CAD data/BoMs.
• Assist with design reviews, testing and iterative improvements across projects.
