Job summary

Sainsbury's Argos Retail in London is seeking an experienced store leader to create and drive a high-performing team, inspiring through customer-centric leadership and clear role modeling. You will have total accountability for the store, working with your management team to drive performance, training and development, and to turn store plans into tangible results.

A natural coach and communicator, you’ll connect actions to customer outcomes and resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching a store team to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong planning and organisation skills to manage a fast-moving, high-volume store.
• Ability to link actions to customer outcomes and resolve issues quickly.
• Experience managing a fast-paced operation and delivering results across service, sales, customer outcomes and team performance.
• Ability to use insights to improve performance and customer experiences.
• Experience navigating employee relations and applying HR policies with consistency and care.
• Proven capability to develop and empower team members to step up and succeed.
• Proven ability to lead through change while keeping the team motivated.

What you'll be doing

You'll create and lead a high-performing team and act as a true role model by seeing everything from the customer's point of view. In that way, you'll inspire, motivate and empower everybody around you.

Your focus on the business itself will be just as strong. Supported by your management team, you'll have total accountability for the store - driving performance, plans and actions; celebrating success and making sure that your teams are trained and developed to be the best that they can be.

Who you are

A natural coach and communicator, you'll support as strongly as you challenge and be as flexible as you expect your team to be. You can see the link between actions and the customer, and work to resolve issues quickly.

Your planning and organising skills will be key - each Argos store is a big, fast-moving business in its own right, and you'll look ahead to make sure you have the all the resources you need. Every day, you'll use your commercial acumen and creative approach to change.
