Job summary

Argos, a leading UK retailer, is seeking a District Manager to lead around 16 Store Managers, acting as the operational expert and guiding teams on the shop floor to drive performance and KPI achievement.

This field-based role emphasises hands-on supervision, coaching, and ensuring process compliance to deliver an exceptional Argos experience for customers.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a focus on customer service, putting the customer at the heart of key decisions.
  • Demonstrates success in having had a positive influence on KPIs and business performance.
  • Demonstrates the importance of building relationships.
  • Understands the importance of prioritisation to generate the most successful results.
  • Experience in managing ER cases.
  • A proven ability to lead teams of managers, experience doing this remotely would be advantageous, with a focus on coaching and development.

  • Lead teams of store managers to drive performance and achieve KPIs.
  • operate as the on-ground operational expert within Argos, coaching teams daily.
  • Ensure process compliance and champion operational excellence across stores.

About the role:

The District Manager is a brand-new role. They will lead teams of around 16 Store Managers. and be the operational experts within the Argos business, providing hands-on support and daily coaching opportunities to boost business performance and achieve store KPIs. Although a field-based role we expect our District Managers to be in their shops, operating on-the-ground to drive performance in their teams, championing operational excellence and ensuring process compliance, everything they do is around making every Argos experience a brilliant one for our customers.
