A market leader and an employer of choice who are a specialist in in Commercial Explosive Manufacturingarelooking for an Area Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient blasting operations across multiple sites in North Wales.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leader known for its commitment to innovation, safety, and delivering exceptional results to clients across the quarrying and mining sectors.

As Area Supervisor, you’ll manage site teams, resources, and customer relationships to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll be the key link between field teams and management, driving safety, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise Shotfirers and Drillers to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring quick and effective issue resolution.
  • Coordinate resource deployment and scheduling to meet operational targets.
  • Support staff development through mentoring, training, and appraisals.
  • Identify opportunities for performance and blast optimisation.
  • Provide cover for shotfiring activities when required.

Essential Requirements
  • MP Awards Explosives Supervisor Certificate
  • Level 5 VQ Diploma in Shotfiring Supervision
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in explosives, quarrying, or mining
  • Full UK Driving Licence
