Job summary

A traffic solutions supplier is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the Southeast territory. This role involves managing accounts and developing new business within local authorities and contractors. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in territory management and selling. Competitive salary up to £50k with OTE of £65k, plus benefits including a fully expensed company car and pension.

Overview

A genuinely exciting Area Sales Manager opportunity has arisen with this well-established supplier of traffic signage and traffic safety solutions. They are looking for an experienced sales professional with experience of selling to local authorities, contractors and architects to join their team. Location

LOCATION: Candidates can live anywhere in the Southeast and cover the Southeast as a territory.

Salary

SALARY: £40k to £50k as a basic salary with an OTE of approximately £65k, with fully expensed company car or car allowance, 20 days annual leave and pension.

What you will sell

You will be selling a wide range of traffic signage, bollards and cycle lane products to local authorities, Facilities Managers, contractors, architects and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Area role will be a mixture of account management and new business, identifying new points of contact within the local authority accounts and identifying projects for which to quote for.
  • Generally spend 4 days a week out on the road (conducting 3 to 4 appointments a day), spending 1 day a week working from home.
Qualifications
  • Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years territory management experience as well as experience of selling to local authorities and contractors.
  • Experience of selling traffic signage or street furniture would be advantageous but not essential; your ability to win projects via local authorities and contractors is more important.
