Area Sales Manager

Pneumatic Control and Automation Systems - South of England

Birmingham, Coventry, Northampton, Gloucester, Bristol, Reading, Luton

£40,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary + Company Vehicle / Car Allowance + £5k OTE (uncapped) + Benefits

Are you familiar with pneumatic systems and currently enjoying or looking for a career in sales?

Does the thought of new business excite you?

Perhaps you're in internal sales looking for a field sales role, or a service engineer considering life on the commercial side?This role will suit somebody looking for a small, established company. Their requirements are that you and knowledgeable with pneumatic systems and are currently selling or looking to sell in a field based capacity.

The Role of Area Sales Manager

A field-based area sales management role covering a territory of everywhere south of Derbyshire

Predominantly new business whilst building last relationships

Consultatively selling a range of pneumatic systems and inhouse design services to End-users (70%), resellers (20%) and OEMs (10%)

Longer sales cycles (2 - 18+ months) and order values between £40k up to £500k+.

Occasional overnights; typically, around 3 per month.

The Ideal Background for the Area Sales Manager

Have proven knowledge with pneumatic systems or related equipment such as compressors and air-tools.

This could be from a field sales, internal sales, or engineering capacity.

Commercial awareness and able to have technical sales conversations with clients.

Genuinely enjoy new business sales.

Competent at asking the right questions to get the sale done.

Hold a full valid UK driving licence.

Have right to work in the UK as sponsorship can't be provided.
