- An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the team covering the Northern territory
The Role
- Managing the Northern territory, including Lancashire, Cheshire, Lake District, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, North Wales
- Selling to a mix of retailers including independents, garden centres and department stores amongst others
- Working as part of an independent sales team, striving to achieve targets both as a team and individually
- Work in conjunction with the strategic plans of the business and manage multiple brands
- Manage your own journey plans, CRM system, reports and all customer enquiries
- Be customer facing, good at building relationships and be a strong ambassador for the business
- Oversea in-store merchandising and promotional activity
- Previous territory or field sales management experience is required
- You may have operated in a different type of sales role and be looking for your first step into field sales with a leading business. For example you could have worked in merchandising or a retail environment
- Experience of working in a design-led product category such as home, beauty, gift or stationery for example would be beneficial but is not essential
- Exposure to managing garden centres, independent retailers would be beneficial
- Candidates from a more traditional FMCG area in field sales will also be considered.
- Will need to be ambitious, easy going, personable and have a strong work ethic
- Target driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facing
- Able to travel across the territory as per the needs of the role and business. Happy to be field based and live in the North-West
