A leading construction sales firm is looking for an Area Sales Manager for Mortars, Plasters & Insulation Systems, based preferably in Manchester or Leeds. This role involves selling a high-quality range of products to builders' merchants and contractors while conducting CPD seminars. The compensation package includes a base salary of £35,000 to £45,000 plus profit share and negotiable benefits.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in the construction industry.
• Preferably experience within a merchant or insulation background; other building products experience acceptable.
• Understanding of back-selling through stockists & merchants such as Travis Perkins, MKM & Jewson.
• Experience with contractor & specifier route to market is a plus.
• A collaborative team player.

Position Summary

Area Sales Manager – Mortars, Plasters & Insulation Systems will focus on selling a high-quality manufactured range of mortars, plasters and insulation systems within the North West & Yorkshire region, ideally based in Manchester or Leeds. The role involves building relationships with key builders' merchants & stockist accounts, developers, social housing landlords, architects, specifiers and contractors, including suppliers such as Travis Perkins, MKM, Buildbase & Jewson. All sales will be conducted via back-selling through distribution channels. The target will be determined based on experience. The manager will also conduct CPD seminars.

Remuneration & Benefits

£35,000 - £45,000 base salary + profit share bonus. Negotiable car allowance and benefits package.

Location

North West & Yorkshire – preferably based Manchester or Leeds, West Yorkshire.
