Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager – GRP Industrial Rooflights will be responsible for driving growth across the North & Scotland region, primarily focusing on industrial rooflights and GRP products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell a high-quality portfolio of profiled rooflights to commercial, industrial and agricultural markets.
  • Spend ~60% of time selling to industrial roofing contractors and profilers.
  • Allocate remaining ~40% of time to influencing architects and specifiers.
  • Target an annual turnover of approximately £2m and manage a healthy order book.
  • Handle projects ranging from £5,000 to £300,000.
  • Follow up on leads from Glenigan.
  • Conduct two quality customer visits per day, four days per week.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external support teams to optimise the sales process.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Field sales experience within the building envelope sector.
  • Experience selling to roofing contractors, profilers, architects, or specifiers.
  • Tech‑savvy with strong computer literacy skills.
  • High organisational, planning and punctuality standards.
  • Technical knowledge of roof lights, GRP, profiles, glazing, cladding, insulation, facades, canopies etc. is an advantage but not essential.
Remuneration & Benefits
  • Salary £47,000 – £51,000 (negotiable) plus £4,000 bonus.
  • Plug‑in hybrid company car and full benefits package.
Location and Contract

North & Scotland (majority time in North). Permanent, full time.
