Job Title: Area Sales Manager Education Furniture Solutions

Industry Sector: Portable Furniture, Furniture, Furniture Solutions, Tables, Chairs, Lockers, Flooring, Interior Spaces, Education Sector, Education, LEAs, MATs, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Dealers, Leisure, Hotels, Hospitality, Dealer Partners, Corporate End Users

Area to be covered: North, Scotland, Ireland & Scandinavia ideally based North / Scotland

Travel: Occasionally to Scandinavia, typically once a quarter (subject to business needs)

Remuneration: £35,000 - £40,000 + circa £14,000 commission

Benefits: £6,000 car allowance & full benefits packages

The role of the Area Sales Manager Education Furniture Solutions will involve:

Responsibilities
  • Field sales role selling a high quality manufactured range of furniture, predominantly solutions for the education sector
  • Sell to dealers, large education furniture manufacturers, LEAs, MATs, schools, colleges and universities
  • Problem solving, resolving conflicts and providing solutions to customers needs
  • Majority of time spent managing existing accounts, with element of new business
  • Dealing with order values ranging from £3k - £150k depending on project sizes, with average order ranging between £3k-£6k
  • Inheriting a patch currently achieving £1m
Qualifications / Ideal Profile
  • Must have a proven track record in field sales selling into furniture dealers or the education sector via schools, colleges and universities, LEAs & MATs
  • Ideally familiar with furniture products such as lockers, stages, tables and chairs (other product backgrounds with strong route to market experience will be considered)
  • Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter, good time management skills, focused and customer service oriented
