A leading automotive company in the UK is seeking a Business Development Manager to ensure cohesive execution of sales standards and drive performance. The role involves leading a successful field-based sales team, managing customer pipelines, and optimizing productivity through collaboration across multiple functions. Ensure a cohesive and consistent approach in the execution of BDM sales standards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance management to achieve overall business strategy and objectives. Take full accountability for the area's BDM sales performance against set targets. Work with TPS management, the BDM network and the TPS National Account Manager to identify areas of business growth across both independent garages and national account customers. Manage team structure, customer allocation and resource distribution in alignment with sales contribution targets. Drive optimal performance through effective utilisation of customer management systems, ensuring proper execution of the BDM sales strategy, resource planning to meet demand, and delivery of an exceptional customer experience. Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive customer journey plans, ensuring seamless and positive interactions at all touchpoints between BDMs, TPS Centres, and customers. Lead, manage, coach and develop the Business Development Managers within your area, ensuring they have the necessary tools, skills and capabilities to deliver on the business plan and uphold the TPS customer promise. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and facilitate professional development. Drive collaborative working across the BDM network, TPS Centre operations, and Parts Operations teams to optimize productivity and ensure a seamless customer experience. Lead the implementation of new processes, systems and standards - whether physical, cultural or behavioural - to drive continuous improvement within the BDM network. Serve as a role model and advocate for TPS and Vindis values, consistently acting with integrity while guiding, motivating and leading your team.
