Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an Area Sales Manager for gates and barriers in the Leeds/ Yorkshire region. The role focuses on growing a field-based territory, securing new business, and expanding revenue through installation projects and service contracts.

The candidate should have proven experience in gates and barriers sales within the security/access industry, with a strong record of developing new business and managing key accounts. UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in gates and barriers sales is essential.
• Experience in the security and access industry is highly desirable.
• Strong track record of developing new business and managing existing accounts.
• Experience selling installation, maintenance, PPM contracts and/or service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of customers across the assigned territory.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within gates, barriers and security/access industry.
• Sell gates, barriers, installation projects, PPM contracts and service agreements.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
• Carry out site visits, surveys and customer meetings.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and recurring revenue.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate terms and close sales.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.
• Collaborate with installation, service and operations teams.
• Grow existing accounts while expanding the territory.

AREA SALES MANAGER - GATES & BARRIERS

Location: Leeds / Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
OTE: £10,000 - £12,000
Company Car or Car Allowance: Up to £500 per month
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

Are you an experienced Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Sales Executive or Sales Representative with a background in gates, barriers, security or access solutions?

We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join an established company specialising in gates, barriers and security/access solutions, covering a large field-based territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who has experience within the gates and barriers industry and is looking to develop new business, grow existing accounts and increase revenue through installation projects, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts and ongoing service agreements.

The Role

• Develop and manage a portfolio of customers across the assigned territory
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the gates, barriers and security/access industry
• Sell gates, barriers, installation projects, PPM contracts and service agreements
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers
• Carry out site visits, surveys and customer meetings
• Develop opportunities from initial enquiry through to successful completion
• Identify opportunities for additional services and recurring revenue
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close sales
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts
• Work closely with internal installation, service and operations teams
• Manage and grow existing accounts while continually developing the territory

About You

The successful candidate must have previous experience selling gates and barriers and ideally have a background within the security, access control, perimeter security or physical security industry.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in gates and barriers sales - essential
• Experience within the security and access industry
• A strong track record of developing new business and managing existing accounts
• Experience selling installation, maintenance, PPM contracts and/or service agreements
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• A commercially driven approach with the ability to identify and close opportunities
• The ability to manage your own diary and territory effectively
• A full UK driving licence
