Overview

This role involves frequent international travel. When not travelling you will be based at our Water Technologies offices in Lane End High Wycombe. You will drive regional sales growth and provide Water Technologies Science and Healthcare Teams with valuable Market Insights and Product feedback. We are seeking a hunter spirit and driven Area Sales Manager to join our Veolia Science and Healthcare Division, the global pioneer in Laboratory Water Purification Technology.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for each business unit to consistently exceed sales targets (KPIs).
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, developing lead generation and focusing on key accounts to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with all company stakeholders to set ambitious growth targets and implement high‑impact strategies.
  • Engage and influence clients at all levels, building strong long‑term relationships.
  • Craft compelling business proposals, sales plans and contracts in collaboration with Water Technologies – S&H teams.
  • Lead and conduct regular customer meetings to strengthen partnerships and drive long‑term success.
  • Stay ahead of the competition by monitoring market trends and identifying new growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific field (Master’s / MBA preferred).
  • Extensive sales experience in the scientific / lab equipment industry (up to 8 years).
  • Strong technical knowledge of pure water principles and the ELGA product range.
  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Business‑conscious and commercially astute.
  • Fluent in English with additional European languages being a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales forecasting.
  • Strong balance of sales hunting and account management skills.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience managing third‑party channels and global accounts.
  • Presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
  • Experience working in international markets.
  • Strong communication skills to drive collaboration across regional and national teams.
  • Ability to secure and manage high‑value international deals.
