Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Area Relief Officer to support DWP sites in Yeovil and surrounding areas. The role involves patrolling, incident reporting, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment for staff, visitors and property.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, security experience, and be prepared to travel as needed. A DS Licence is preferred, and adherence to Mitie and DWP security policies, health and safety practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards on site.
• Maintain professional conduct with difficult situations and challenging customers.
