Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join our Support Leadership Team at Pobl. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a range of high-quality Support services across the Monmouthshire and Torfaen area.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational leader, committed to delivering person-centred services and achieving positive outcomes for the people we support. You’ll need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car with business insurance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership and management across all Support services, ensuring consistent delivery of person-centred, high-quality support.
  • Supervise and develop Managers through regular meetings, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with commissioners, local authorities, and partner agencies, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee financial management, including setting and monitoring budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate and be part of tender processes for existing and looking to build the portfolio in the area
  • Champion a positive health and safety and safeguarding culture, ensuring risk management is embedded in all areas of practice.
  • Work with key stakeholders and internal departments around the maintenance and improvement of building assets to ensure we provide good quality accommodation to our customers.
  • Contribute to business growth through innovation, market awareness, and active involvement in tendering opportunities.
  • Monitor performance, analyse feedback, and drive continuous improvement across all services.
  • Participate in the Support Services on-call rota as required.
Who are we looking for

  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and able to demonstrate at least three years’ relevant experience in a leadership role within support, social care or Housing management

  • Work pattern: Monday – Friday
  • Location/Base: Hybrid – working across Monmouthshire & Torfaen and at our head offices,
  • 26 days holiday, pro rata entitlement plus Bank holidays. Rising to 27 days after 1 years service or cash equivalent of 1 days’ annual leave.
  • This role requires a basic DBS check, which we pay for
