A leading retail organization is seeking an Area Manager for their thriving Retail team in the West Midlands. This permanent position involves managing and developing retail operations across South Wales and nearby areas. Candidates should demonstrate strong retail leadership, communication skills, and the ability to drive sales and profits. A full UK driver's licence is essential, along with flexibility for unsociable hours. The role offers excellent training, a pension scheme, and generous leave entitlements.
Sense has an exciting opportunity to recruit an Area Manager to join our successful Retail team. This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, with frequent travel to shops in the West Midlands, Worcestershire/Herefordshire and North Wales.
In this role you will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing the retail presence within South Wales and surrounding areas. You will focus on maximising sales and profit for Sense shops by developing new and existing shops and donation stations within the area.
You will line manage Shop Managers, Assistant Shop Managers and Shop Assistants and lead effective generation and control of stock to ensure each shop achieves its full sales potential.
Full UK driver’s licence required; a company car and fuel card will be provided with all business mileage covered. Flexibility to work unsociable hours including weekends and evenings is essential.
