What we're looking for:

We're looking for a team manager who has managed teams of ideally 20 and above who is motivated by inspiring others, treating colleagues with compassion and supporting them to thrive in their roles. Management of cleaning teams would be an advantage, however we're open to managers who operate across other team management roles in other environments, as the right managerial style and approach is absolutely crucial to us.

Our environment is very positive and supportive, we pay the real living wage to all our cleaners as well as sick pay, offering an environment that encourages development and collaboration.

With this in mind it's incredibly important to usthat you are hands on and compassionate - treating colleagues and employees with empathy, providing an environment where people feel respected and supported.

Job purpose:

As an Area Cleaning Manager you'll manage, develop and motivate a team of Supervisors and Cleaners who are responsible for the delivery of a high standard cleaning service across a diverse portfolio.

You won’t be afraid to have fun with your job and bring enthusiasm, dedication and a collaborative spirit to strengthen our culture.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Responsible for managing approximately 15 sites, a team of 60 colleagues and circa 30 customers across the sites, delivering a fantastic service across Manchester City Centre.
  • Creating, implementing and managing operational objectives for your area, whilst remaining nimble and adaptable to the constantly changing environment.
  • You’ll be responsible for the end to end employee lifecycle from start to finish. You’ll be an expert when it comes to finding, growing and keeping talent, leading, inspiring and supporting our teams to deliver their best work.
  • Advising customers on cleaning specifications and providing tailored quotes based on customer requirements.
  • Enthusiastically helping to shape and develop Unify as a best in class cleaning providership.
  • Providing operational insight and knowledge, using data to highlight where we need to focus on our customer experience.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure that the various pieces of our service fit together perfectly for a seamless customer experience.
  • You’ll be quality driven, pay attention to detail, ensure continuous improvement, efficiency and consistency through standardisation, record keeping and health & safety compliance.

We really believe that if you’re brilliant to work with, you deserve brilliant things in return:

  • 28 days holiday plus you get your Birthday off work - and if that’s not enough you can also buy & sell holidays too
  • 24 hours a year volunteer time - there are endless opportunities for you to get involved in supporting the causes that matter most to you
  • Sabbatical of up to 12 months so you can take a career break after five years with us
  • Healthcare cash plan for all colleagues, so you can claim back medical expenses like optical, dentist & physiotherapy. We also offer free private healthcare cover on an opt in basis too
  • Life assurance cover for all colleagues
  • Up to 8% matched pension scheme
  • Discounts & cashback at leading retailers
  • Enhanced maternity / shared parental leave - 26 weeks fully paid leave
  • Interest free loans to pursue your passions and apply for up to £2000 towards learning a new skill

If you're interested in applying for the role please don't hesitate as we'll be conducting interviews prior to the closing date.
