Job description

The Area Maintenance Manager will support the Area Housing Manager to ensure the effective and efficient local maintenance service. This will include managing performance of maintenance staff and the response maintenance contract(s). To contribute, as a member of the Area Management Team, to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values.

Responsibilities

• To support the Area Housing Management Team to ensure the effective and efficient local high quality maintenance service with a clear customer focus.
• To ensure that maintenance repairs and inspections to Housing Executive and other properties are carried out to specification.
• To identify & proactively manage risk associated with contracts.

Skills and Qualifications

• Hold a degree level qualification (level 6 or equivalent) in a relevant subject and have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• OR Hold a Level 5 qualification in Housing AND have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
• OR Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND have at least 4 years relevant experience.

Location details include various locations across NI; Salary £45,091 - £51,356 per annum; Contract Type Permanent; Weekly hours 37; Closing date 20/11/2025; Published date 06/11/2025; Worktime 9am - 5pm, days to be confirmed.
