Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is advertising an Area Highways Technician (Maternity Cover) based at Stroudwater Depot. You will assist the Local Highway Managers by coordinating community requests and managing highway-related tasks within your area.

You will work with the Term Maintenance Contractor to order maintenance activities and support the delivery of statutory highway duties, ensuring high standards of customer service for Gloucestershire residents.

• Experience in highways, with knowledge of maintenance and safety standards.
• Experience in emergency management and incident response.

About The Team And Role

Are you looking for new exciting challenge working with the Area Highway Team in our Highway Depot assisting in the maintenance and management of the highway network?

The County Council is looking to recruit an Area Highway Technician (Maternity Cover) who will assist the Local Highway Managers dealing with community requests on highway related matters, support overall delivery and management of the highways service to Gloucestershire’s residents as well as delivering the statutory highway duties.

About You

As Area Highway Technician you will be supporting the Area Team within a designated geographical area ordering maintenance activities through our Term Maintenance Contractor.

You should have relevant experience in highways, emergency management and be committed to excellent customer service.
