Job summary

A leading kitchen appliance company seeks a Field-Based Account Manager to develop and grow their brand across Kitchen Retail accounts in the UK. The ideal candidate will have previous account management experience, a passion for the kitchen and lifestyle industry, and a strong record of increasing sales. Responsibilities include strategic planning, account management, and acting as a brand ambassador. A degree in Business, Marketing, or Design is beneficial.

REPORTS TO

Field Sales Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

Develop andgrow F&P’sbrand and productsacross Kitchen Retail accounts through strategic sales planning and dedicated account management thatincreases market share and deliversprofitable growth in the short and long term.

SCOPE

An ambassador for our brand focused on delivering a premium end-to-end customer experience across Kitchen Retail accounts within the luxury retail market.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Delivery
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of F&P’s retail strategy for Kitchen Retail accounts, ensuring alignment with global imperatives and growth aspirations.
  • Develops a strategic Area Sales Plan (ASP) that includes annual sales targets, product placement, marketing, and promotional programmes and competently influences Social Media and Online Marketing promotional activities.
  • Ensures disciplined and effective execution of ASPs, including identified priority changes, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth.
  • Stakeholder engagement ensures highly effective cross-functional collaboration, including global supporting functions, to deliver to the needs of business.
  • Provides regular reporting updates on account portfolio to the local and global Market Group.
Account Management
  • Deeply understands customer account businesses and environmental influences. Keeps current on changes and best practice that influence strategic plans.
  • Able to take decisions based on a market-wide, holistic view and understand how this might affect the whole business.
  • Manages and cultivates existing account relationships to leverage growth opportunities.
  • Identifies and actively pursues new customer opportunities, cultivating a momentum of enthusiasm and pull for F&P’s brand, vision, and products.
  • Ensures a seamless representation of F&P’s brand value proposition is applied in all accounts. Includes ensuring F&P’s merchandising and brand representation is achieved and supported instore and digitally.
  • Works with customers to keep product on floor. Gauges customer needs and gives proactive support including product training, to drive sales.
  • Monitors daily sales performance metrics to maximise revenue and margin.
Brand Ambassador
  • Develops effective relationships that add value to internal and external customers.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador in all interactions with customers ensuring relationships are built on mutual trust.
Health & Safety
  • Actively promotes a culture of health and safety within the team and wider business.
  • Takes all practical steps to ensure their own safety at work and ensuring that actions or inactions don’t cause harm to any other person.
  • Follows all safety instructions, proactively reports hazards and incidents in the workplace, and collaborates with H&S Representatives to continuously improve and develop work safe solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previousaccount management experience is essential.
  • Experience & passion for the Kitchen, Design, Home Interiors or Lifestyle industry is highly desirable.
  • Able to show a positive and progressive attitude and a flexible approach to change.
  • Have a strong desire for self-development and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A record of accomplishment in successfullyincreasing sales and margins within an account portfolio.
  • An understanding of how to construct a Sales Plan in line with the overall company strategy utilising a variety of levers.
  • An effective communicator, you will also be able to interrogate your business results and construct and implement creative solutions as needed as well as being able to deliver and action these with your customers.
  • Experience working within a “premium” culture and environment would be beneficial.
  • Degree level qualified in eitherBusiness Management, Marketing, Design (or equivalent experience) would be an advantage.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365 tools – specifically Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
