Job summary

Wolseley Local Division in the North East is seeking an Area Account Manager to drive sales, grow margins and strengthen customer relationships in a field-based role. You will partner with branch teams, pursue new business opportunities and promote digital trading tools, with a competitive salary plus company car or car allowance, bonus and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in account management, business development, field sales or a similar customer-facing sales role.
• A strong track record of winning new business and growing customer accounts.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
• A self-motivated, resilient and target-driven approach, with experience in merchanting, distribution, wholesale or construction-related sectors being advantageous

Responsibilities

• Driving sales and margin growth across your designated territory through proactive business development and account management.

We have an Area Account Manager role available covering the North East.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Driving sales and margin growth across your designated territory through proactive business development and account management.
• Winning new customers while identifying opportunities to grow spend within existing accounts.
• Building strong relationships with customer decision-makers through regular face-to-face engagement.
• Working closely with branch teams to maximise sales opportunities and deliver outstanding customer service.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
