Job summary

Arctic Research and Development is hiring its first Product Security Engineer to protect our hardware and software stack across cloud infrastructure, applications, and autonomous products. You will spot and mitigate risks, design secure-by-default practices, and partner with product, engineering, and operations to maintain trust in high-stakes Arctic environments.

This role combines hands-on security with threat modelling, verification, and rapid iteration to keep systems secure as we scale.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security across hardware and software product stacks.
• Ability to model threats and communicate risk to engineers and leaders.
• Experience applying secure-by-design practices and audits.

Responsibilities

• Spot, evaluate, and rank security risks across products, systems and infrastructure.
• Roll out practical security controls across cloud platforms, applications, products, and data.
• Build and use threat models to catch architectural weak points and failure modes before incidents.
• Own secure-by-design evidence, EN 18031/CRA Annex I assessments, fuzzing/pen-test programmes, vulnerability register and advisories.
• Work alongside engineering, product, and operations teams as a trusted security partner.
• Assist in detecting, investigating, and containing security incidents, and push for lasting fixes.
• Cut down on manual security work through automation, better tooling, and secure-by-default habits.
• Apply technical rigour to assurance work like audits, certifications, and customer security reviews.
