Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking an Archivist on a fixed-term contract in Norwich. The role focuses on acquiring, preserving, and providing public access to archival collections, while engaging with the public and supporting related projects.

The position runs for eight and a half months, with a 37-hour week and a salary scale of G. The successful candidate will work in a professional team, handling accessioning, cataloguing, and responding to enquiries, contributing to preservation activities

Qualifications

• Qualified archivist or working towards AR A-recognised archival qualification.
• Experience with accessioning, cataloguing and responding to enquiries.
• Ability to work as part of a professional team delivering public services.
