Architectural Technologist or Delivery Architect
Edinburgh

Morrow + Lorraine are looking for an Architectural Technologist or Delivery Architect to join our growing Edinburgh studio. The role focuses on technical design, project delivery, and collaboration across our Edinburgh and London teams on high-quality commercial and mixed-use projects.

We are an award-winning practice with studios in London and Edinburgh. We are known for thoughtful, well-crafted architecture with a strong emphasis on context, materiality, and build quality. A significant part of our work focuses on the renewal and revitalisation of existing buildings, where we combine sensitive design with rigorous technical expertise to extend the life and value of the built environment.

As our Edinburgh studio grows, we are looking for an Architectural Technologist or Delivery Architect to play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from planning through to construction.

The successful candidate will work closely with associates and directors, contributing to detailed design, technical coordination, and on-site delivery. The role offers the opportunity to work on exciting central London projects while being based in our Edinburgh studio. Our workload includes bespoke mixed-use, and deep retrofit commercial projects, where sustainability, reuse of existing buildings, and high-quality detailing are central to our approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information.
  • Coordinating with consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
  • Design development through RIBA stages 3-5.
  • Ensuring design intent, quality, and technical standards are maintained.
  • Contributing to the development of office technical standards and BIM processes.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong design and technical understanding.
  • Is proficient in Revit (essential), Microstation experience beneficial.
  • Has experience delivering complex, real-world projects in England (Particularly London).
  • Communicates clearly and works well within a small, collaborative team.
