Job summary
Pettigrew Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a leading Perthshire construction business to appoint an Architectural Technician for their expanding Design Office in Perth. The role covers agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential schemes, delivering practical design from concept through to completion.
You will work with clients, Local Authorities and subcontractors to ensure drawings are accurate and compliant, while supporting a collaborative team and developing your expertise.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND in Architectural Design, Architectural Technology or similar.
- Experience across commercial, industrial and residential projects.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong CAD skills and 3D modelling experience.
Responsibilities
- Producing Proposal, Planning, Building Warrant and Construction Issue drawings.
- Developing design solutions that comply with current Building Standards.
- Preparing detailed CAD drawings and 3D models.
- Managing design documentation (incoming and outgoing).
- Advising on regulatory, statutory and environmental requirements.
- Supporting senior managers during client meetings and presentations.
- Preparing construction drawings for site teams.
- Liaising with subcontractors and external stakeholders.
- Conducting site inspections and surveys.
- Assisting with Health & Safety documentation and O&M manuals.
