Job summary

A leading housebuilder in Swadlincote is seeking an Architectural Technician to produce and manage working drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in a design and technical department, hold relevant qualifications, and be proficient in AutoCAD. You Will Also Be
  • Produce and manage, with guidance, the working drawings for house types and/or adapting standard house type working drawing in accordance with agreed planning drawings.
  • Liaising with the regional offices regarding any queries relating to the planning drawings and working drawing requests.
  • Handling site queries when they arise.
  • Liaising with structural engineers and other third party consultants relating to working drawing matters.
What You'll Need To Succeed
  • Previous experience in a housebuilder’s design and technical department
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade 4 or above including maths and English
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Computer / IT literate with capability to use Excel, Word and database packages
  • Ability to use AutoCAD
