Job Title: Architectural Assistant (Part II)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

About Us

Stenton Obhi Architects is a dynamic and ambitious RIBA Chartered Practice based in Milton Keynes. We work across a diverse range of sectors and scales, delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions with technical rigour.

We are seeking a talented and motivated RIBA Part II Architectural Assistant (with a minimum of two years’ UK post-qualification experience) to join our growing team. This is a long-term career opportunity within a supportive, design-led environment where you will gain hands-on experience across all stages of the architectural process and contribute directly to the future growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist on projects across all RIBA Plan of Work stages, from concept design through to construction and completion.
  • Produce high-quality design work, technical drawings, and detailed construction information.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, liaising with local authorities and other consultants.
  • Contribute to client presentations, design proposals, and reports.
  • Support project delivery by coordinating with contractors, engineers, and consultants.
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team, while being confident managing tasks independently.
  • Play an active role in shaping the development and success of the practice.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • RIBA Part 2 qualified or equivalent with minimum 2years’ UK experience post-qualification.
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. You should also be skilled in SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Possess excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge, along with a sound understanding of UK Building Regulations.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under own initiative.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Milton Keynes and hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Must be a UK resident or hold an appropriate work permit.
