Job summary

A leading employee-owned practice in London is seeking an experienced Architect to lead the bridge between innovative design and site execution. Responsibilities include guiding projects through RIBA stages and mentoring junior architects. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of post-Part 3 experience and expertise in UK building regulations. A hybrid work model is offered along with a salary range of £40-50k.

Join a Top 20 employee-owned practice whose Design Delivery Unit turns ambitious concepts into buildable, future-ready architecture. You will bridge the gap between visionary design and flawless site execution across data centres, mixed-use schemes, and civic projects while protecting the original design intent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead RIBA Stages 3-6, translating planning approvals into coordinated technical packages
  • Optimise concepts to add commercial value, carbon savings, and user comfort
  • Chair consultant workshops and manage BIM-based clash resolution for Design and Build or traditional contracts
  • Audit drawings for compliance with Building Regulations, planning conditions, and studio quality standards
  • Prepare production information that contractors can safely build from, then monitor works on site
  • Contribute to tender reviews, value engineering, and material substitutions without design drift
  • Mentor Part 2 architects and coordinate resources across UK and international studios

Skills & Experience

  • RIBA or ARB registered Architect with at least three years post-Part 3, including project-running duties
  • Proven delivery of advanced technology or mission-critical facilities in the UK
  • Expert knowledge of UK Parts B, L, M, and the latest fire-safety and energy directives
  • Fluency in Revit, Navisworks, and model-based QA tools; Dynamo scripting desirable
  • Confident communicator able to lead contractor meetings and negotiate scope, , and programme
  • Comfortable switching between D&B, Construction Management, and Traditional contract environments
