Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking an Architect to lead its Extra Care and later living portfolio in Slough. You will own projects from concept to completion, guiding planning and technical stages while mentoring a team of architects and technologists.

The ideal candidate is ARB registered with UK experience, strong Revit skills, and a background in Extra Care or healthcare schemes. The role offers hybrid working and clear progression paths.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect with significant post-qualification UK experience.
• Experience leading projects through all RIBA stages and managing teams.
• Proficient in Revit on live projects; familiar with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Background in Extra Care or Healthcare sectors is highly desirable.
• Solid knowledge of the UK planning process, Building Regulations and CDM responsibilities.
• Confident presenting and leading client meetings.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects from concept to completion through planning and technical stages.
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and technologists, guiding delivery and quality.
• Engage with clients as the trusted contact and help develop junior staff.

The Practice

This respected, award-winning practice has built its name on Extra Care, supported living and specialist care accommodation. Steady growth and a strong pipeline of new schemes mean there s room for a talented Architect to shape projects, influence the direction of the studio and grow alongside it.

The Role

As an Architect, you ll take ownership of projects from first concept through to completion. You ll be the trusted point of contact for clients, steering schemes through planning and technical stages while guiding a team of architects and technologists. Just as importantly, you ll help bring the next generation of talent through.

Senior Architect Requirements

• ARB registered Architect (RIBA membership desirable)
• Significant post-qualification experience in UK practice, with a track record of running projects through all RIBA stages and leading teams
• Strong Revit skills, used on live projects
• Background in Extra Care or Healthcare sectors is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Thorough understanding of the UK planning process, Building Regulations and CDM responsibilities
• Confident presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead client meetings
• Full UK driving licence
