Job summary

Konker, a London-based architecture and multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking an Architect for its Southbank studio. You will run your own projects across RIBA Stages 2 to 6, taking ownership of design and technical delivery on live schemes.

You'll collaborate with experienced Architects, Associates and Directors, enjoy client contact from early on, and benefit from a defined route to Senior Architect and Associate level. Hybrid working with circa two days home.

Qualifications

• ARB registered / RIBA Chartered.
• Approximately 2–5 years post-qualification experience in UK practice.
• Confident in Revit and coordinated BIM workflows.
• Experience in residential, mixed-use or education sectors.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning and technical delivery.
• Comfortable leading client and design team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Run own projects at RIBA Stages 2 to 6 and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Produce design and technical packages in Revit with the project team.
• Attend design team meetings and lead design and technical decisions.
• Support Associates and Directors on bids and larger multidisciplinary schemes.
• Mentor Part 1 and Part 2 team members where relevant.

A well-regarded London architecture and multidisciplinary consultancy is hiring an Architect for its Southbank studio. The projects are varied, the environment is design-led, and there’s a clear route to senior and associate level for the right person.

You will run your own projects across RIBA Stages 2 to 6, taking ownership of design and technical delivery on live schemes and contributing to larger multidisciplinary jobs alongside experienced Architects, Associates and Directors.

The role: Architect

• Running your own projects at RIBA Stages 2 to 6, coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Producing design and technical packages in Revit alongside the wider project team.
• Attending design team meetings and taking a leading voice in design and technical decisions.
• Supporting Associates and Directors on bids and larger multidisciplinary schemes.
• Mentoring Part 1 and Part 2 team members where relevant.

Experience needed for this Architect

• ARB registered / RIBA Chartered.
• Around two to five years post-qualification experience in UK practice.
• Confident in Revit and coordinated BIM workflows.
• Sector experience in one or more of residential, mixed-use or education (all three ideal).
• Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning and technical delivery.
• Comfortable running client and design team meetings and taking a lead voice on live projects.
