Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Arboriculturist to deliver services across infrastructure projects in the UK. You will work within a multi-disciplinary environment and contribute to tree protection and retention in design, with support for developing your skills and reports.

Eligibility includes degree-level arboriculture, GIS/CAD data handling, and a proactive approach to health and safety surveys. The role supports hybrid working and career progression within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in arboriculture or related environmental discipline.
• Capability in tree and fungi identification.
• Able to lead and carry out BS5837:2012 and Health and Safety surveys independently.
• Experience with GIS and CAD data collection.
• Excellent report writing and collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

• Lead BS5837:2012 surveys for infrastructure projects.
• Deliver arboricultural notes, method statements, and scoping assessments.
• Conduct health and safety surveys and reports.
• Provide tree protection design and site supervision of contractors.
• Collaborate with landscape, ecology, and environmental teams.
• Develop professional-level arboricultural reports and supporting documents.
