Job summary

Language Matters Recruitment Consultants Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Assistant Relationship Manager to support a private banking team serving high‑net‑worth clients.

You will provide day‑to‑day assistance to Relationship Managers, manage KYC/AML requirements, support account openings and liaise with Compliance and Head Office to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Fluent Arabic essential for professional client communications.
• Experience in banking, ideally as Assistant Relationship Manager or similar client-facing support role.
• Strong knowledge of account opening, CDD/KYC and AML in private banking.
• Experience in international or Middle Eastern banking environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Private Banking and Relationship Managers, including assisting with client meetings and requests.
• Assist with account opening, CDD, KYC/AML, and documentation updates.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Credit, Customer Services and Head Office to resolve queries and ensure smooth processes.
• Assist clients with payments, card inquiries, settlements and other banking requests with timely follow-up.

Are you an Arabic-speaking banking professional with experience supporting Relationship Managers and high-value clients? Our client is looking for an experienced Assistant Relationship Manager to join their growing private banking team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of banking, and HNW private account management who enjoys working closely with clients and internal teams. You’ll be part of an international private banking environment, supporting Relationship Managers and helping ensure a high level of client service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Private Banking and Relationship Managers, including assisting with client meetings, correspondence, account management and client requests.
• Support the private banking team with account opening, customer due diligence, KYC and AML requirements, including preparing account opening documentation and keeping customer files up to date.
• Work closely with Compliance, Credit, Credit Administration, Customer Services and Head Office teams to resolve queries and ensure banking processes and transactions are completed smoothly.
• Assist clients with payment validation, credit and debit card enquiries, settlements and other banking requests, following up internally to ensure everything is completed promptly.

Profile:

• Fluent Arabic is essential, with the confidence to communicate with Arabic-speaking clients professionally and effectively.
• Previous experience in banking, ideally as an Assistant Relationship Manager or in a similar client-facing support role within private banking.
• Strong knowledge of account opening, CDD/KYC and AML processes, with an understanding of the requirements involved in private banking.
• Experience working with an international or Middle Eastern banking environment would be highly desirable, with knowledge of the GCC market a strong advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills, together with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and banking systems.
