Job summary

Intermedia Intelligent Communications seeks an experienced Application Security Engineer to embed built-in security across our software suite. You will be part of the Global Security team, guiding engineering and shaping the SDLC enterprise‑wide.

Responsibilities include design and architecture reviews, remediation coordination, and manual/automated security testing using BurpSuite, ZAP, Snyk, and related tools; you will report security risks to developers and managers.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in application security.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and OWASP.
Experience with SDLC and DevSecOps.
Experience identifying AI threats in security landscape.
Experience with BurpSuite, ZAP, and Snyk.
Strong written and verbal English.
Experience securing applications in cloud (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments.
Participation in CTF challenges and bug bounty programs.

Responsibilities

Perform design and architecture reviews of new features and security requirements.
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams, advising on security features in SDLC.
Utilize static security scanning tools and coordinate remediation actions.
Perform ongoing manual security assessments.
Review external penetration test results and communicate fixes to teams.
Provide on-demand support on application security topics.
Drive process improvement ideas.
Assist with vetting defects from 3rd party researchers via Bug Bounty program.
