RSR Justice is recruiting an Approved Premises Residential Worker on behalf of the Probation Service in Old Windsor. This temporary role suits recent graduates in criminology, psychology, sociology, social work or related fields, or those with experience supporting vulnerable people.

You will supervise residents, conduct checks, respond to incidents, manage inductions, and keep clear records. Night shifts and emergencies require calm, reliable handling of challenging situations.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates with criminology/psychology/sociology/social work or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people (substance misuse, homelessness, mental health) is helpful.
• Roles involve frontline, hands-on work in an Approved Premises setting.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and support residents, ensuring safety and compliance with rules.
• Carry out building checks, monitor CCTV, and maintain secure curfews.
• Respond calmly to incidents and challenging behaviour.
• Conduct room searches, support medication routines, and assist with inductions.

Location: Old Winsor, Berkshire,SL4 2RL
Pay: £16.39 p/h PAYE / £21.59 Umbrella (enhanced night & weekend rates)
Hours: 37 per week (rolling rota including nights & weekends)
Duration: Temporary contract, 3 months with possibility of extension

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who have studied subjects such as criminology, psychology, sociology, social work, or related fields, as well as individuals with experience supporting vulnerable people (e.g. substance misuse, homelessness, or mental health).
In this hands‑on and rewarding role, you’ll gain valuable frontline experience supporting residents in an Approved Premises setting – helping to manage risk, promote rehabilitation, and ensure a safe environment.

What you’ll do:
