Job summary

Building Services Consultancy is seeking an Approved Electrician to cover Berkshire and London. The role involves installation, testing and inspection, plus maintenance of office sites, ensuring compliance through expert guidance to site managers.

A flexible, out-of-hours approach is required as EICR tasks are predominantly outside office hours. Required are an ECS Gold Card, 18th Edition, and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, with a full driving license and DBS Enhanced.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card and relevant electrical installation qualifications are essential.
• Industry recognised wiring and safety certificates (18th Edition) are required.
• DBS Enhanced disclosure and a full driving license are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, testing and inspection work and planned maintenance (PPM) at office sites.
• Provide guidance to site managers to ensure all locations remain compliant.
• Coordinate workload with the project team and manage overtime in line with site needs.
• Work mainly outside office hours to complete EICR tasks with a flexible schedule.

Approved Electrician (ECS Gold Card) - Covering Berkshire & London

£42000-£44000 + Van + Benefits

Building Services Consultancy are actively looking for an Approved Electrician to join the business covering commercial clients in the Berkshire and London region. The Approved Electrician will be responsible for the install, testing & inspect and (PPM) maintenance of a select number of office sites providing expert guidance to site managers to ensure all locations remain compliant.

To apply for the Approved Electrician position successful applicants will require the following:

• ECS Gold Card
• 18th Edition
• 2391 or 2394/5
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• Full driving license
• DBS Checked (Enhanced)

The Approved Electrician will control their workload with the support of the project team. The sites being mainly offices requiring all EICR work to be carried outside office hours, therefore a flexible work approach is essential. Work is planned a month in advance and the successful Approved Electrician will control when they carry out any overtime (evening & weekend) which is paid as a premium.
