Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking an Approved Electrician for a mobile role covering Worcester. You will perform remedial work, general maintenance and repairs across our properties, ensuring work is completed to spec with a right-first-time approach and delivering strong customer service.

Applicants should have an electrical apprenticeship or NVQ L3, AM2, and 2391 (or equivalent), plus 18th Edition; a full driving licence and DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or NVQ L3 in Electrical installation.
• AM2 qualification.
• 2391 or equivalent for testing and inspection.
• 18th Edition Regulation.
• If lacking 2391, may be classed as Electrician (£38,296) with upskilling path.

Platform Property Care has a great opportunity for an Approved Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team in a mobile role covering work in Worcester.

You'll be joining a talented team carrying out remedial work, general maintenance, and repairs across our properties. You will thrive on giving great customer service and keeping jobs on track and have the drive to make sure the work is completed to spec. You will have a right first-time mentality ensuring the Customer is at the centre of everything you do.

The role is varied, and no two days are the same! It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return you'll have the support of a great team!

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills.You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service.

You will have

• Served an apprenticeship in Electrical or obtained an equivalent NVQ L3 & City & Guilds L3 in Electrical installation, commissioning, and certification
• AM2
• City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent in testing and inspection
• 18th Edition regulation
• If you do not have your 2391 or equivalent, you would be classed as an Electrician (£38,296 per annum) however we would look to upskill any applicants without this, provide the training as a route to the Approved Electrician

Please note we can not progress applications from candidates who have not yet achieved their Level 3 qualifications. If you have yet to take your 18th or 2391 please state this in your application.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Sound experience in delivering a range of electrical work and services in a domestic setting
• Experience of working for a social Landlord, Housing Association or Council.
• Experience of delivering responsive repairs
• Strong customer service skills
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

This role will require working on the out of hours rota which includes availability over 7 days including working Saturdays and Sunday.

This role is for a team covering Worcester so you will need to live here, or nearby.
