Apprenticeship Tutor (Events & Business Administration)

Salary - £31,000.00 per year DOE

Remote‑Based Working Role (09:00 - 17:00)

Join Team Ginger

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Apprenticeship Tutor with expertise in Events Assistant and Business Administration standards at Level 3, with opportunities for development across Level 4 standards, to join our award‑winning, Ofsted GOOD‑rated national training provider. We are a SET Corporate Partner, Highfield Qualifications Centre, City and Guilds of London Institute and a centre for the Institute of Leadership & Management, delivering high‑quality training to both SMEs and large levy‑paying clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tutor, you will be responsible for both the delivery and administration of apprenticeship programmes, including:

  • Teaching & Assessment – deliver engaging, remote‑first training aligned to apprenticeship standards (Predominantly Level 3 but opportunity for Level 4)
  • Support learners with planning, organisation, and professional skills development.
  • Support learners through formative and summative assessment, including EPA preparation.
  • Deliver remote‑first training aligned to business and project or event management apprenticeship standards.
  • Apply the latest DfE assessment principles, including on‑programme assessment where applicable.
  • Use platforms like OneFile to track learner progress and feedback.
  • Conduct progress reviews, manage compliance, and liaise with employers.
  • On occasion, visit employers in areas such as Kent and London for face‑to‑face learner assessment and teaching.
Apprenticeship Administration
  • Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers, ensuring alignment with the training plan.
  • Monitor and validate timesheets, attendance, and off‑the‑job training records.
  • Ensure all documentation meets DfE funding rules and internal compliance standards.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to audit readiness.
  • Liaise with employers to support learner development and resolve issues.
  • Ensure learners meet Gateway requirements and are EPA‑ready.
Employer and Learner Engagement
  • Deliver relevant employer support webinars to enhance understanding of apprenticeship standards and learner progress.
  • Facilitate careers and enrichment webinars to support learner development beyond the curriculum.
  • Provide Off‑the‑Job (OTJ) timesheet coaching support to ensure accurate recording and compliance with funding rules.
Apprenticeship Standards You’ll Deliver
Essential Experience
  • Business Administrator - Level 3
  • Events Assistant - Level 3
Preferred Experience (but not essential)
  • Team Leader/Supervisor - Level 3
  • Customer Service - Level 2 & 3
  • Governance Officer - Level 4
  • Associate Project Manager - Level 4
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience delivering business‑related apprenticeship standards, with a willingness to grow into broader responsibilities. We welcome applicants who are early in their tutoring journey and keen to develop under the guidance of our experienced Senior Tutor.
  • Strong occupational competence in administration, or events.
  • Experience supporting learners through EPA.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and learner engagement skills.
  • Self‑motivated, flexible, and approachable.
  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification (minimum).
  • Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in Maths, English, and ICT.
  • Familiarity with OneFile e‑portfolio.
  • Robust knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent, and Equality & Diversity.
Desirable Certifications
  • Event management or business administration qualifications.
  • APM or PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner (desirable).
