Job summary

A leading training provider seeks an experienced individual to deliver high-quality training for the Digital Learning Designer Level 5 apprenticeship. This remote role involves conducting coaching sessions, preparing learners for assessments, and maintaining compliance with education standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in digital learning, teaching qualifications, and a passion for facilitating learner success.

Qualifications

  • Occupational experience in digital learning, learning design, or e-learning roles.
  • Experience delivering Digital Learning Designer or similar digital programmes.
  • Proven track record of supporting learners through apprenticeship delivery and EPA.
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, KSBs, OTJ requirements, and EPA processes.
  • Confident using virtual delivery platforms and e-portfolio systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for Digital Learning Designer Level 5.
  • Facilitate 1:1 coaching sessions and progress reviews.
  • Conduct professional discussions, observations, and KSB-aligned assessment activities.
  • Prepare apprentices fully for Gateway and EPA.
  • Maintain accurate records within e-portfolio systems.
  • Provide detailed feedback, targets and developmental guidance.
  • Build strong relationships with learners and employers.

This is a remote position.

This position supports the delivery of high-quality training and coaching for the Level 5 Digital Learning Designer apprenticeship. The successful applicant will deliver engaging learning sessions, conduct 1 : 1 coaching, and ensure learners progress successfully through to Gateway and End Point Assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for Digital Learning Designer Level 5
  • Facilitate 1 : 1 coaching sessions and progress reviews
  • Conduct professional discussions, observations and KSB-aligned assessment activities
  • Prepare apprentices fully for Gateway and EPA
  • Maintain accurate records within e-portfolio systems
  • Provide detailed feedback, targets and developmental guidance
  • Complete monthly visit forms and 10-week reviews
  • Work alongside IQA colleagues to maintain quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with DfE funding rules and Ofsted EIF expectations
  • Build strong relationships with learners and employers
  • Support progression planning and pastoral welfare
  • Engage in CPD, standardisation, and curriculum development
Essential Criteria
  • Occupational experience in digital learning, learning design or e-learning roles
  • Experience delivering Digital Learning Designer or similar digital programmes
  • Proven track record of supporting learners through apprenticeship delivery and EPA
  • Teaching qualification (AET Level 3 or above)
  • Assessor qualification (CAVA or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, KSBs, OTJ requirements and EPA processes
  • Confident using virtual delivery platforms and e-portfolio systems
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience of Ofsted inspection within an apprenticeship setting
  • Coaching or mentoring qualifications
