Job summary

Inspire Education Group is seeking a motivated Motor Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join our Motor Vehicle team in Peterborough. This role is ideal for someone with industry experience who wants to move into education and training while continuing to develop professionally.

You will work alongside experienced lecturers and technicians, support learners in practical workshops, maintain facilities, and gain a teaching and assessment qualification through the apprenticeship programme.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications within Motor Vehicle.
• Wants to develop a career in education and training.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Organised, proactive and willing to learn.
• Can work confidently with young people and adult learners.
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support lecturers and students during practical workshop sessions
• Assist learners in developing hands-on automotive skills
• Help prepare and maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas
• Ensure workshops remain clean, organised and safe at all times
• Assist with stock control, inventories and equipment checks
• Support students during practical assessments and activities
• Develop knowledge and skills in coaching, training and learner support
• Learn how to deliver practical demonstrations and underpinning knowledge sessions
• Assist with maintaining health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements
• Work closely with staff to support an engaging and positive learning environment
